Cookie Policy

We use as few cookies as possible — only what's needed to make viz4 work and to understand anonymous usage. No tracking, no ad cookies.

📅 Last updated: January 2026 ⏱ 2 min read 🍪 Minimal cookies only
Exactly what cookies we use
  • 1 essential session cookie. Remembers your chart preferences (color palette, chart type) within a session. Expires when you close your browser.
  • 1 anonymous analytics cookie. Counts visits without identifying individual users. No cross-site tracking whatsoever.
  • Zero advertising cookies. No ad network cookies, no retargeting pixels, no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tracking.
  • Zero third-party tracking. We don't share cookie data with any third party for tracking or advertising purposes.

1 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites. They serve many purposes — some useful (like remembering your preferences), some privacy-invasive (like tracking you across the internet for ads). We only use the former.

2 Cookies We Use

viz4_prefs · Essential · Session
Stores your selected chart type and color palette so they persist while you're on the page. Expires when you close your browser. Contains zero personal information.
_analytics · Analytics · 1 year
Anonymous visit counting only. Does not identify you individually. Does not track you across other websites. Compliant with GDPR legitimate interest basis for aggregate analytics.

That's it. Two cookies. Both documented above. No hidden trackers.

3 Managing Cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the essential cookie may affect your experience (chart preferences won't be remembered). Blocking the analytics cookie has zero effect on functionality.

Most browsers allow you to: view cookies stored by a site, delete individual cookies, block cookies from specific sites, or block all third-party cookies. Check your browser's Help section for instructions.

4 Changes to This Policy

If we ever add new cookies, we will update this page and notify users. We commit to never adding advertising or cross-site tracking cookies without explicit user consent.
